a blade of grass is an organization dedicated to providing resources to artists who demonstrate artistic excellence and serve as conduits for social change! Grants are available to both individual artists and collectives/organizations:

  • ABOG Fellowship for Socially Engaged Artist

A one-year fellowship for individual artists and collectives. Fellowships pair project support of $20,000 with strategic support, assessment tools, video documentation, access to facilities and other tailored resources for socially engaged artists. We support seven-ten artists or collectives per year, who are selected via an open application process.

  •  Organizational Project Grants

Organizational Project Grants of $20,000 each are awarded in support of socially engaged art projects that bring participants into dialogue with the artist(s), embrace audiences beyond the art community, and aim to promote social change.
