Free Online Training! Saturday, March 7, 10am – 12pm AKT
In a state as vast and diverse as Alaska, effective civic engagement depends on creativity, collaboration, and strategies shaped by local knowledge.
Unstoppable Voters: Alaska is a 2-hour online workshop that brings together Alaskans who care about strengthening civic engagement through creative approaches.
Participants will connect with one another, share the projects they’re working on (or hoping to launch), and surface opportunities for collaboration across communities and issues. Through inspiring examples of successful creative civic engagement campaigns, we’ll explore how to use the creative process as a strategic tool, clarify goals, identify key audiences, and develop innovative approaches that fit Alaska’s unique contexts.
Participants will leave with concrete ideas, sharper strategies, and new connections to support their work.
The training will be facilitated by the Center for Artistic Activism, a nonpartisan nonprofit that’s helped thousands of people across the US and around the world bring more strategic creativity to their social justice work.

Who should join the workshop?
Anyone wanting to mobilize Alaskans in the upcoming elections and through additional civic engagement efforts. Maybe you’re an activist trying to register and turn out voters, an advocate working to hold legislators accountable, an artist wanting to connect and help members of your community — if you’re working for social change, you’ll be in the right place.
Please note that no background in the arts is required. Bring an openness to learning new ways to approach your work, and you’re set.
What will happen in the workshop?
In this dynamic training, we will:
- Meet each other and share what we’re working on (or wanting to work on), looking for overlap and opportunities for collaboration
- Inspire with examples of successful creative civic engagement campaigns
- Learn how to leverage the creative process
- Identify winning strategies and specific audiences
- Develop strong objectives and innovative ways for achieving them
