❌ The LGBTQ+ Travel Alert Browser Extension!
This browser extension (Now Available in the Chrome Store) alerts you before you book travel (and spend money) in regions with dangerously discriminatory laws like Uzbekistan, Uganda, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Florida.
LGBTQ+ Travel Alert works on sites like Booking.com, Kayak, and google flights. Enter your destination, say Uzbekistan, and you’ll get an immediate alert! In the google chrome store – free!
No one should have to factor in being harassed, jailed, or tortured when they travel. That’s why for the last year, we’ve been working on decriminalizing homosexuality in Uzbekistan.
Why Uzbekistan? Because they investigate, imprison, and torture gay men. And still, the UN’s World Tourism Organization (@UNWTO) is hosting its 2023 General Assembly there (and chose Saudi Arabia for next year)!
With more pressure, Uzbekistan may decriminalize and catch up to where neighbors like Kazakhstan were in 1998. With more global scrutiny and pressure, things can change.
