Send in the clowns!
Imagine this: you’re tired after waiting for hours in long lines at your local polling place on Election Day. Annoyed and frustrated, you’re just about to give up and go home. Suddenly, an entire circus appears: acrobats and aerialists, jugglers and clowns are doing flips and tricks right in front of you! Do you leave the line, or stay to watch the show? (And vote!)
By putting the “fun” back in fundamental rights, Cirque d’Vote’s polling location parades demonstrate that truly anyone can put their creative talents to use to combat apathy and inspire engagement.
