2026 Unstoppable Voters Leader
Sophia DeLoretto-Chudy (she/her/ella) is a 30 year old youth organizer, activist & agitator who has spent her career running into fires — from leading humanitarian and legal aid operations for asylum seekers in Tijuana, Mexico, to driving across the country to take unhoused voters to the polls in Georgia’s runoff, to now building an organization to combat Texas’s troubling turnout numbers among young voters. Raised by a public school art teacher and single mother, it’s unsurprising that Sophia’s work has always involved creativity — whether improvising without institutional resources or going up against the institutions themselves.
About Texas Voter Project
The Texas Voter Project is building the civic infrastructure Texas never had, not through traditional political organizing, but by creating the communities young people actually want to belong to. Founded on the premise that young Texans aren’t apathetic, just disconnected, TVP meets them where they are: at pickleball tournaments, shooting ranges, bar crawls, and pizza nights. Bilingual voter guides and research-driven tools close the information gap, while community-centered events rebuild the social capital that turns voting into a shared norm.
