Marlise has worked in health and human rights focused organisations for many years and in a number of different key national NGOs in South Africa. Her advocacy focuses on sex worker rights, gender based violence and sexual and reproductive health. She is also involved in campaigns on animal rights, urban greening (particularly Guerrilla Gardening) and ethical food-production.
Marlise is an alum of Center for Artistic Activism trainings and has gone on to train and develop actions with the Center in multiple campaigns.
