2024 Unstoppable Voters Fellow Melody Page

Melody Page (she/her) is a College Park, Georgia native. She gained her BFA in Theatre Performance with a focus in Acting and Directing at Columbus State University. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She began being involved in civic engagement when she canvassed with the New Georgia Project for the 2021 Senate Runoff which led to the victory for Senator Warnock and Senator Ossoff. She then moved on to become a community organizer for affordable housing at NGP. Melody believes that it is a priority to educate and advocate those in her community. Awareness is the first step to change, and she looks forward to working with AA to bring more awareness to this pivotal Election season using her creative ideas.

About New Georgia Project

New Georgia Project/New Georgia Project Action Fund was founded in 2014 and has since then grown to be a political home for many Georgians. NGP/NGPAF’s mission is to build power with and increase the civic participation of the New Georgia Majority—Black, Latinx, AAPI, and young Georgians—and other historically marginalized communities through nonpartisan voter registration, organizing, and advocacy on the issues important to our communities.

Melody on being an Unstoppable Voters Fellow

“I’m excited to work with Unstoppable Voters because I know I will gain the skills needed to get my community excited to be civically engaged during this pivotal election season. I’m excited to be pushed out of my comfort zone and use my creative voice throughout my work.”

– Melody Page, Associate Affordable Housing Organizer, New Georgia Project
