An Event on How Imagination Can Help us Keep Going
Wednesday, February 25, 2026 | 3-4pm ET on Zoom | Free
The work of organizing and advocacy is heavy, especially when progress is slow, the stakes are high, and the horrors keep coming. This public, participatory event is for people doing the work of change who want space to reconnect with creativity as a source of resilience and possibility. Together, we’ll share what the work feels like right now, explore how imagination shows up even in difficult moments, and consider creative ways of continuing forward.
Finding Creativity When the Work Feels Heavy is presented by the Center for Artistic Activism in collaboration with some of our favorite, most inspiring artistic activists, including Alexandra Leal Silva of Maremoto and Alexia Kemerling of the American Association of People with Disabilities.

What We’ll Do
Together we’ll reflect, notice patterns, and reconnect with imagination as a resource. We’ll do this by sharing methods to:
- Create space for innovation and novel ideas
- Try new things at low cost and low risk
- Add surprise and enjoyment to our work across issue areas
What You’ll Gain
This public event is for anyone involved in organizing or advocacy who is feeling the weight of the work. Together, we’ll explore how creativity and imagination can support us through difficult moments, helping us reflect, adapt, and keep going.
