A native of the Dominican Republic, Miriam Ostria is a strategic, creative and results oriented leader. Miriam has had great success in organizational development and management of non-profit organizations and programs. Her professional experience stems from over 25 years of providing problem-solving solutions to the operational challenges characteristic of non-profit entities to organizations and programs of all sizes.

Over the last decade, Miriam has supported small non-profits with strategic planning processes, program development and implementation, and strengthening organizational capacity.

In 2019, she led the production of a bilingual (English/Spanish) interactive story map. The map used interviews with local residents to describe the evolution of the Latino community in Adams Morgan; a neighborhood in Washington, DC. Two years later, Mrs. Ostria secured the funding that led to the reproduction of the keepsake in digital form.

She joined the Center for Artistic Activism in the summer of 2021 as Assistant Director for Finance & Operations, overseeing Finance, Human Resources, and Business Operations.

Miriam Ostria received her B.A. in Economics from INTEC (Santo Domingo) and her master’s degree in Latin American Studies and Finance from The George Washington University. In addition, she holds a certificate from the Harvard School of Business in Strategic Management of Non-Profits.

Mrs. Ostria is an avid tennis player. She enjoys traveling with her family and the company of people from all over the world.
